Full texts submitted to the Congress and approved by the Congress Scientific Committee will be published after the refereeing process conducted by the Ufuk University Journal of Social Sciences Institute. The following should be considered when preparing full texts:

• Text(s) should not exceeded 9000 words including the bibliography, visuals, figures, tables, and abstract.

• Text(s) should be single spaced, written in Times New Roman with a type size of 12 points in Microsoft Word. The paper size should be set at A4. Figures and tables to be included in the text should comply with these measures.

• Studies in Turkish should include a Turkish abstract composed of 150 – 200 words and keywords placed below the title and author name(s) followed by their English title, abstract and keywords. Studies in English should include an English abstract composed of 150 – 200 words and keywords placed below the title and author name(s) followed by their Turkish title, abstract, and keywords. Both abstracts should be written using single line spacing and 10 points font size. Keywords should be between 4 to 7 words.

• The title of the author, the institution to which he is affiliated and the e-mail should be written on the first page in footnotes in 8 pt.

• Number of the keywords should be between 4 to 7 and just below the abstact.

• References can be made with footnotes or can be added in parentheses in the text.

• Tables and figures should be given title and sequence numbers, headings should be placed under tables and figures, and references should be written under the drop line.

• Equations should be given sequence numbers. The sequence number must be placed in paranthesis and on the right side of the page.

• The text should start with the Introduction section from the second page and be divided into appropriate sections. The sections must be numbered consecutively. Section titles should be written in capital letters (i.e. “1. INTRODUCTION”) with their numbers. If necessary, sections can be subdivided. Subsections should be numbered as “1.1”, “1.2” in each section using the section number. Subsection headings should be left aligned with the first letter of each word capitalized. The final section should be the “Conclusion (s) / Discussion” section, followed by the References and, if any, Acknowledgments and Appendices. Optionally, the list of figures and tables can be provided just before the bibliography.

• Notations (signs or symbols representing information) and abbreviations should be the standard notations and abbreviations of the relevant field of science, or they should be defined in the first place it appears in the text. Where necessary, notations and abbreviations may be given in the “Introduction” section or in a separate section following the “Introduction” section.

• Tables should be numbered consecutively. Within the text, references to the tables should be made via their relevant numbers (such as “Table 1.”). An appropriate title should be used for each table and this title should be written on the top of the table with its number.

• References to other works can be made in one of two ways:

References to other works in the text;

Work by a single author: Author’s last name, year and page should be used as in the following format: “(Author, 2010, p.15)”.

Works by two authors: the surnames of the authors should be used as in the following format: “(Author and Author, 2009, p.135)”.

Works with more than two authors should be referred only by the surname of the first author and “Author et al.” and the year and page number should also be written.

Direct quotations will be written within quotation marks (“…”) and the font size must be 10.

Example: Control setting (environment); institutional (organizational) styles express the reflection of the whole on the control awareness of the people in the organization (Erdogan, 2005, p.92).

• If the above method is not adopted, references are made in the footnote method according to the following rules:

When introducing a book in the footnote for the first time, it is necessary to provide the following information respectively: Author’s name-surname (first letter should be capitalized); Book title (initial letters are capitilized); Publication information of the book (Number of prints if not published for the first time, the city in which it was published, publisher, year of publication), and page number (“p. 95” for single page quotations and “pp. 95-98” for mutliple page quotations).

•When introducing a journal article in a footnote for the first time, it is necessary to provide the following information respectively:

Author’s name and surname; Title of the article; Name of the journal; Some publication information of the journal (Volume number + Issue number + Month and year + page number).

•The online documents are displayed as follows:

“Name and Surname of the Last Author; Title of the Document ”; Title of the Entire Study, Date of the Document or Date of Last Update of the Document, Address, Page and Access Date in parentheses.

To be valid for all sources; in the second and subsequent references to the same source providing the author’s last name and page number is sufficient.

In direct quotattions the quoted text should be written in quotation marks (“…”) and with a type size of 10 points.

•The following should be considered in the writing of the references:

The title “REFERENCES” should be left aligned and all letters should be written in bold.

Cited works should be listed in alphabetically according to the surname of the first author in the “References” section.

In order to determine the ranking of the works whose first author is the same, the surnames of the second and subsequent authors should be used respectively.

Works the writer(s) of which are the same, should be ranked from old to new according to their date of publication.

The works with three or more authors whose first author and year are the same, should be distinguished in the same way.
